This new series of paintings is inspired by a recent trip to Mexico, where colour, rhythm and atmosphere filled the streets. The works hold fragments of memory—the terracotta of walls warmed by sunlight, the vivid green of cacti against brightly painted streets, cobalt skies, the shimmer of textiles, the shifting light at dusk and the vibrant energy of everyday life. Each brushstroke follows a sensation, tracing the energy of Mexico’s spaces without fixing them in representation.
